A 1914-18 War Medal to the Canadian Tank Corps - (3036416 PTE. F.A. DUFFORT. CAN. TANK CORPS). Naming is officially impressed. Semi-dark patina, extremely fine. Footnote: Frederick Arthur Duffort was born on August 25, 1889 in Birmingham, England. He was a resident of Toronto, Ontario when he signed his Particulars of Recruit Drafted Under Military Service Act 1917 Paper, as a Private (3036416) with the 70th Overseas Field Battery, on May 2, 1918 in Toronto, at the age of 28, naming his next-of-kin as his father, Frederick Duffort Sr. of Coleman, Ontario, stating that he had no previous military service, that he was Single, that his religion was Methodist and that his trade was that of Plumbing and Heating. Duffort served as a Gunner with the 70th Overseas Field Battery and survived the war.
