A 1940 commemorative table medal for the cease-fire in France on June 25th, 1940 at 1:35PM; constructed of oven baked clay; the obverse with a train wagon circumscribed with “Waffenruhe in Frankreich am 25. Juni 1940 1 uhr 35 Minuten” (cease-fire in France on June 25th, 1940 at 1:35PM), and circumscribed “Das Rachediktat von 1918 ist gelöscht” (The revenge conspiracy has been reversed); the reverse with “Der uns aufgezwungene krieg muss zum glorreichen Sieg der Deutschen Geschichte werden” (The war imposed upon us must become the most glorious victory of German history); measuring 51 mm; is mint condition.
