A 1941 Art Exhibition Seal from the House of German Art
Two pieces of gilded bronze glued back-to-back, both sides illustrating the House of German Art (Haus der Deutschen Kunst) insignia, comprising of a Neoclassical leftward facing head, an eagle and swastika motif, along with a flaming torch surrounded by the inscription “Ausgestellt im Haus der Deutschen Kunst 1941”; with a white and salmon-coloured braided silk cord fed through the seal, forming a loop above and tied in a knot below the seal; measuring 31.70 ; weighing 21.1 grams; near extremely fine condition.
