Layaway Policy

A minimum deposit of 30% of the total price of your order including all applicable taxes and Buyer’s Premium, is due at the time of initial purchase. The total price of your order must be paid within three months from the date of original purchase.

Your contract will be automatically cancelled and ordered merchandise will be returned to inventory if full payment is not submitted by the three (3) month deadline.

What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

A Canadian Second War & Korean Service Medal Group - 1939-45 Star; France and Germany Star; Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Overseas Clasp; War Medal 1939-1945; Korea Medal; and United Nations Korea Medal. Korea Medal is officially impressed "SC-122340 A.P. REILLY", UN Korea Medal is privately engraved "SC-122340 A.P. REILLY", the WWII medals are unnamed. Original ribbons, mounted to a suspension with swing bar pinback, as worn by the veteran, very fine. Accompanied by fifteen pages with copies of his Service Records, Discharge Certificates and Awards Record. Footnote: Alvin Patrick Reilly enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps at No. 3 District Depot in Kingston, Ontario on September 21, 1943. He was transferred to Camp Borden, Ontario three months later, on December 29th. It was here that he qualified as a Driver (I/C) Class III Wheel on March 6, 1944. The following month, he was struck off strength to the Training Brigade at Debert, Nova Scotia on April 10th. He soon left Canada for overseas service, arriving in the United Kingdom on May 7, 1944. Reilly embarked the United Kingdom on July 17th, disembarking in France on the 18th for six months service, returning on January 30, 1945. He returned to Canada on March 12, 1945 and was discharged at No. 2 District Depot in Toronto, Ontario on May 5, 1945, credited with having served in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. Upon the outbreak of the Korean War, he re-enlisted with the Canadian Army (Active Force) on February 16, 1952 at No. 6 Personnel Depot in Toronto. Four days later, he was struck off strength and transferred to No. 56 Transport Company at Camp Borden (Ontario) on the 20th and re-classified as Private 1st Class on March 20th. He continued training at Camp Wainwright (Alberta) from May 14 to July 26th, attached to No. 14 Company RCASC. Afterwards, he returned to Borden, where he was released from No. 1 Special Training Company on September 23rd. Reilly was struck off strength of No. 56 Canadian Transport Company to No. 11 Personnel Depot in Vancouver, British Columbia on December 1, 1952, taken on strength and posted to the Canadian Army Far East. He embarked Canada on the 11th and disembarked in Japan on the 28th. One week later, he arrived in the Korean theatre, for the first of two tours, on January 4, 1953 and struck off strength to No. 23 Canadian Transport Company. He left Korea one month later, on January 31st. According to his records, he was posted from Kure, Japan to FMA Korea on February 16th, returning to the Korean theatre for a second time on the 17th, serving there for the next seven weeks, until April 6th. He returned to Japan for twelve days, before embarking for the United States on the 18th, arriving on the 22nd. He returned to returned to Toronto on May 5th and was discharged at No. 6 Personnel Depot in Toronto on August 28, 1953, credited with having served in Canada, Korea and Japan.
