A Canadian WWII Tank and Armoured Corps First-Aid Kit - This kit contains thirty-two pieces: one tube of Triofax Triple Die Jelly (opened); two tubes of Tannafax Tannic Acid Jelly (opened); two packages of Bauer & Black Iodine Swabs, with six swabs in each package; one 1 oz. glass medicine cup; one eye bath cup; one glass bottle of aromatic ammonia spirit marked "Central Medical Stores, Ottawa, Canada" from 1942 (empty); four rolls of 1" bandages; four paper wrapped rolls of 1'' bandages; six paper wrapped rolls of 3'' bandages; four 1 oz. packages of Red Brand compressed absorbent cotton; three packages of Johnson & Johnson Brunswick gauze; and three packages of Johnson & Johnson Shell Dressings (dated May 1941). Also included is a sheet located in the inside lid inscribed "Contents of Outfit, First-Aid, for Tanks and Armoured Cars", listing what would have been the original Contents of the kit, along with Directions for Use in five situations (fainting or weakness; burns or scalds; wounds or injuries; foreign bodies in the eye; injuries or burns with great pain). All items are contained in a magnetic metal box, painted white on the exterior, with dual sliding latch closure and swing folding handle, 207 mm x 278 mm x 69.5 mm in depth. Exterior of the box, latches and handle exhibit paint chipping, scuffing and rust from active use and storage, contents remaining in terrific condition. Better than very fine.(C:16)
