A Cased Miniature Austrian Order of Franz Joseph - Grand Cross Star, in silver, silver gilt and enamels, ring marked VM (Mayer, Wien), together with Imperial Austrian silver hallmark, of excellent quality; attached as worn to a chain (kette), in hallmarked silver and enamels, also maker hallmarked FR (Rothe) circa 1910-16, total length 15cm, in very fine condition. Contained within fitted, fine quality Mayer’s hard-shell case of issue; very attractive miniature.
