China, Republic. An Order of the Resplendent Banner; V Class Commander, c.1935
A Chinese Order of the Resplendent Banner; 5th Class Commander - (AKA Order of the Cloud and Banner): Silver gilt with blue, white, yellow and red enamels, two red stars on the two star points flanking the top star point designating the award as 5th Class Commander, number "1608" impressed on the reverse, 57.3 mm x 57.8 mm, on a full-length neck ribbon with snap closure, light crazing in the bottom star point otherwise the enamels are intact, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, gilt and enamelled Republic of China insignia on the lid, marked on the inside lid, recessed medal bed, small spots and wrinkling evident on the exterior cover, case near extremely fine.Footnote: The 5th Class of the Order of the Resplendent Banner was awarded to Senior Field Commanders.
