What's a max bid?

A Deutsches Kreuz in Gold by Gebrüder Godet & Co; Light Version

This is a fine quality manufacture and well preserved German Cross in Gold (Deutsches Kreuz in Gold) by a desirable maker; with its trademark four rivets on the reverse; double-overlaid sunburst pattern with eight points; the center with a black enameled rotated (mobile) swastika within a stamped gilded circular wreath impressed with oak leaves, ribbons, and the introduction year “1941”; the inner and outer sides of the wreath feature a thin red enameled rings with a silvered cupal core in the middle; the reverse plain but with a broad vertical pinback with a functional barrel hinge and a thick, slightly rounded catch; the catch being typical of Godet manufacture; unmarked; measuring 63.45 mm x 63.36 mm; weighing 54.4 grams; with very well executed period enamel repairs on the top and bottom arms of the cross; with the gilt on the wreath very well preserved; in overall better than very fine condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity by Dietrich Maerz.
