What's a max bid?

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

A Fine Second War Tropical/Afrika Korps Belt with Buckle; Published Example

Buckle is die-stamped steel, magnetic, with an olive drab painted finish, marked “N & H 1941”, with embossed Wehrmacht eagle with motto "Gott Mit Uns" (God With Us), 49.0 mm x 64.0 mm, light contact, extremely fine condition. With olive-green colored webbed belt, stamped with maker’s mark on reverse; a very fine quality belt, approx. 95mm in length, extremely fine condition. An excellent example of Tropical/Afrika Korps Belt with Buckle. (Illustrated on page 79 of Angolia’s book).

Footnote: From the collection of approximately 900 German buckles accumulated by John R. Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001.
