What's a max bid?

A First & Second War Group to the Royal Garrison Artillery - British War Medal (2. LIEUT. W.E.BURGESS.); Victory Medal (2. LIEUT. W.E. BURGESS.); Defence Medal; and War Medal 1939-1945. Naming is officially impressed on the two WWI medals, the WWII medals are unnamed. Court mounted, light contact, near extremely fine. Accompanied by copies of his Index Card (acknowledging his eligibility for the 1914-15 Star, BWM and VM) and a page from the London Gazette.  Footnote: William Ernest Burgess served as a Private (S4/058911) in the Army Service Corps during WWI and entered the French theatre on May 8, 1915 with the ASC. He was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Garrison Artillery, Special Reserve on November 18, 1917, then promoted to Lieutenant in the RGA SR on May 18, 1919. In WWII, he was awarded a Regular Army Emergency Commission as a Lieutenant (80942) in the Royal Artillery on July 18, 1940 (London Gazette 5390, September 6, 1940). He was promoted to Temporary Captain in 1944 and released to the Unemployment List in 1946.
