Footnote: William Joseph Holden was born on 28th May 1878 in Dundas, Ontario. He found employment as a painting contractor in St.Catharines Ontario prior to joining the CEF on 31st August 1915, haivng seen previous service in 19th, 38th and 59th Regiments. He received his Long Service Medal by G.O.87 in 1919. He received his C.A.F.O.D by G.O.64 in 1941.
