Accompanied by his Overseas Military Forces of Canada Active Service Pay Book, his Canadian Expeditionary Force Pay Book, a No. 2 Regimental Depot Group Receipt of A.B. 64 Active Service Pay Book Slip, an Information and Service Handbook for Members and Ex-Members of the Canadian Naval and Military Forces Booklet, a Canadian Chaplain Service Overseas Military Forces of Canada "A Farewell Word from the Chaplains" Card, a Knights of Columbus "Welcome Home Boys" Catholic Army Huts Card, a Tivoli Music Hall "Sortie" Card and an oval framed sepia-toned photograph of Gordon in uniform (photo measures 86 mm x 123 mm in a 188 mm x 240 mm wooden frame, glass face, string tied to two loops for wall hanging on the reverse).   Footnote: Morton Joseph Gordon was born on September 10, 1889 in Merritou, Ontario. He signed his Attestation Paper as a Gunner with the 49th Overseas Battery, Canadian Field Artillery on February 7, 1916 in St. Catharines, Ontario, at the age of 26, naming his next-of-kin as his father, George Gordon of St. Catharines, stating that he had six years' previous military service with the 19th Regiment, that he was not married and that his trade was that of Surveyor. He served with the 5th Brigade, Canadian Field Artillery during the war. He was discharged at No. 2 Regimental Depot Group, Ripon, Yorkshire on May 12, 1919, for return to Canada and discharged upon demobilization on May 31, 1919 at Military District No. 2 in Toronto, Ontario.
