Un-mounted, light contact, better than very fine. Footnote: Charles Pinder was born on September 20, 1895 in Mitchell, Ontario. He was a resident of Toronto, Ontario when he signed his Particulars of Recruit Drafted Under Military Service Act 1917, as a Private (3034817) with "C" Company, 1st Depot Battalion, 1st Central Ontario Regiment at Military District No. 2 in Toronto, Ontario, on April 15, 1918, at the age of 22, naming his next-of-kin as his mother, Adela Pinder of Perth, Ontario, stating that he had no previous military service, that he was Single, that his religion was Methodist and his trade was that of Store Manager. His medical examination had been performed on October 5, 1917 in Toronto and his number was 826383 under the Military Service Act. Pinder was later transferred to the 4th Infantry Battalion.
