Naming is impressed; very fine. Footnote: Fred William Friday was born in 1891 in London, England. He enlisted in Royal Flying Corp on 20th September 1915; his civilian occupation had been a motor cyclist. He was promoted to AM1 on 1st October 1916 and was transferred in to the Royal Air Force on its formation on 1st April 1918 as Private 1st Class. He embarked to France on 16th January 1916 and served there until 11th March 1919. He served with 21 Sqdn, HQ Royal Flying Corps., HQ No. 1 Aircraft Depot and HQ RAF. Comes with copy of his Service Record. Meritorious Service Medal-L.G. 1st January 1919. Pte. 1 F.W. Friday. (Brixton, S.W.).
