A First War Prussian Medal Pair - Prussia: Iron Cross 2nd Class 1914 (silver frame, iron core, magnetic, 42.5 mm with corrosion); and Imperial: Hindenburg Cross for Combatants (bronze gilt on iron, maker marked "R.V. 43. PFORZHEIM" on the reverse, 38 mm, crossed bronze swords clasp on the ribbon). Mounted to a suspension with swing bar pinback, as worn by the veteran, soiled original ribbons, marked "DRGM" (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster) on the suspension frame, arms of the IC exhibiting underlying rust, spotting in the gilt on the HCC, better than very fine.
