Footnote: Samuel Cole was born on 30th April 1895 in Ballard, County Wicklow, Ireland and joined the CEF on 12th May 1915.He served with 2nd Can. Amm. Sub Park, in Canada, in England and in France and was Struck Off Strength on 27th May 1919. After the war he became a member of the Toronto Fire Department.
