A German Imperial Navy Torpedoboot Iltis Ribbon Tally - In silk with silver gilt threading, measuring 33cm, worn, shortened, fine. Footnote: The Iltis was a torpedo boat of the Reich and the Navy and was part of the predator class . The ship first served as a training ship, later drove inserts within the Spanish Civil War . In World War II the Iltis participated in several mining operations in the North Sea and was entrusted with a variety of Geleitschutz- and backup tasks. The Iltis fell in a skirmish with the British motor torpedo boats (MTB) after a torpedo hit off the Dutch coast in 1942.
