A German Imperial Sea Pilot’s Badge; Published Example
Badge in gilded silver (stamped “925” behind the crown), hollow center construction, 45.41mm x 71.44mm, weighs 25.1 grams, with pilot’s name hand scratched on reverse (hardly legible, g. gumk 14.1. U (?); badge of superb quality manufacture, with crisp details, minor contact marks and dents, excellent fire gilding, in about extremely fine condition. An excellent example.
