What's a max bid?

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

A German Night Watchman's Guild Belt Buckle; Published Example

In stamped bronze, reverse marked "GES. GESCH." (Gesetzlich Geschützt) and maker marked with the Christian Theodor Dicke, Lüdenscheid insignia on the reverse, measuring 47.8 mm x 63.5 mm, worn, fine. This particular buckle is illustrated on page 556 of "Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich, Revised Edition" by John R. Angolia and came from his personal collection.

Footnote: From the collection of approximately 900 German buckles accumulated by John R. Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001.
