A Mint Hauptsturmführer Collar Tab Pair; RZM Tagged - SS Collar Tab (aluminum threading forming the SS runes, on a black wool field, the outer edge trimmed on all four sides with rolled aluminum wire, label on the reverse maker marked "Hersteller: 20", marked with the "RZM" (Reichszeugmeisterei) insignia and the "SS" runes, marked "Reichszeugmeisterei der NSDAP" and numbered "No 243526"); and Hauptsturmführer Rank Collar Tab (four rows in pairs of aluminum wire threading forming the rank insignia with three silvered aluminum pips, on a black wool field, the outer edge trimmed on all four sides with rolled aluminum wire). Each tab measures 41 mm x 53 mm, with tan coloured buckram frames, unworn, mint. Footnote: Hauptsturmführer was a Nazi party paramilitary rank that was used in several Nazi organizations such as the SS, NSKK and the NSFK. The rank of Hauptsturmführer was a mid-grade company level officer and was the equivalent of a captain (Hauptmann) in the German Army and also the equivalent of captain in foreign armies. Hauptsturmführer was the most commonly held SS officer rank during the Second World War.
