Silver frame, with iron core, magnetic, vaulted, marked "800" (silver) on the reverse, without maker mark but known to have been manufactured by Wilhelm Deumer, Lüdenscheid, 33.7 mm, screwback, extremely high quality, extremely fine.

Footnote: Rare small style "Prinzengrosse" award favoured by German royalty. Wilhelm Deumer, Lüdenscheid began supplying Iron Crosses in 1917, the "800" silver content only used to manufacture Iron Crosses during the period 1917-1918. (C:171)
