Three-piece construction, two bronze gilt with red, white, blue, yellow and black enamelled insignias on a silvered bronze base, illustrating the crowned cypher of Ferdinand I, the interlocking letters "VR" above the Romanian coat-of-arms backed by crossed swords below, the lower portion of the coat-of-arms framed by a ribbon banner inscribed "1916-1919", the outer edge of the badge trimmed in an oak leaves and acorns motif, 37 mm x 55.5 mm, vertical pinback, scattered gilt wear on the ribbon banner, extremely fine.
