A Romanian RPR 23rd August Order; 1st Class Breast Star in Gold - (1st Type, 1947-1965) Multi-piece construction, 14K Gold with eighty-four inset diamonds, enamelled RPR coat-of-arms in the centre, marked "14" (14K Gold) on the catch, weighing 65 grams, hallmarked "worker with hammer", maker marked "MS" and engraved "23" over "AUGUST" on the reverse, 53.5 mm x 55 mm, horizontal pinback, fine quality manufacture, red enamels and diamonds are intact, mint. Accompanied by its 10 mm x 25 mm Ribbon Bar, in its hardshelled case of issue, marked "ORDINUL "23 AUGUST" CL. I" on the lid, padded recessed medal bed, case also mint.(C:41)
