What's a max bid?

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

A Rural Police Officer’s Buckle; Published Example

Buckle in fire gilded brass, die stamped, eagle, wreath and pebbled field in high relief and with crisp details, field highly polished, 48mm x 63mm, with stamped Assmann logo; nice old patina on reverse, in hardly used condition, near mint and very scarce. (Illustrated on page 447 of Angolia’s book).

Footnote: From the collection of approximately 900 German buckles accumulated by John R. Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001.
