Japan, Occupied Manchukuo. A 1937 Cultural Revitalization Medal with Case
In silver with yellow, white, blue and pink enamels, 36.7 mm x 37.5 mm, original ribbon with silver pinback hanger, intact enamels, very light contact, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, gilt lettering on the lid, recessed medal bed, lightly scuffed on the exterior, case better than very fine.
Footnote: This medal is inscribed in Chinese and Japanese and was issued by the East Asia Cultural and Educational Policy Council, for attending a meeting, whose purpose was to assist and support the cultural revitalization of China, dated with the Japanese Imperial year of 2597 (1937).
