A scarce 1943 German “Kriegsweihnacht 1943 - Kefalonia, Montenegro, Griechenland” commemorative medal; in aluminum; with a Edelweiss flower on the obverse of the medal (Edelweiss flowers traditionally represent bravery and courage in German/Austrian culture); unmarked but these commemorative medals are known to be made locally in France; measuring 35.16 mm in diameter; weighing 11.4 grams; contact marks and lightly bent; overall better than fine condition. Scarce.
