What's a max bid?

A Scarce First War Eaton's Motor Machine Gun Battery Cap Badge - 2nd Canadian Motor Machine Gun Brigade, Eaton's Motor Machine Gun Battery Cap Badge; Maple Leaf with Crossed Guns Design. Three-piece construction, browning brass, maker marked "J.R. GAUNT LONDON" on the reverse, crown and crossed guns affixed to a veined maple leaf base with Canada ribbon banner, 48.5 mm x 50.3 mm, intact lugs, surface wear evident, better than very fine. Footnote: The Eaton Machine Gun Battery was mobilized on January 1, 1915, under the patronage of Sir John Craig Eaton and arrived in England on June 15th. In January 1916, the name was changed to the Eaton Motor Machine Gun Battery. When the battery arrived in France on February 26th, it served as part of the 3rd Canadian Division. From July 1916 to June 1918, it was transferred to the 1st Canadian Motor Machine Gun Brigade as D Battery, and the troops were allowed to wear their own badges. In June 1918, the battery was absorbed into the 2nd Canadian Motor Machine Gun Battery as B Battery. (C:39)
