What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Twenty-Two Percent (22%) of the Hammer Price

A Second War Junghans Kriegsmarine Navigator’s Stopwatch

A fine example of a Junghans Kriegsmarine Navigator’s stopwatch. Junghans was founded by Erhard Junghans on April 15, 1861, and continutes to make quality timepieces in Schramberg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany today. The case of this stopwatch is manufactured in patinated steel, with a nickel-silver crown and with a matching loop attached to the stem of the watch. Uniquely, the case-back is equally crafted of patinated steel. The face of the watch is white, with black printed arabic numerals from 10 seconds to 60 seconds, marked in 5 second intervals, with 5 ticks in between to count the seconds. It features an additional smaller dial at the top with black printed arabic numerals from 3 minutes to 30 minutes, marked in 3 minute intervals, with 3 ticks in between to count the minutes. The face is otherwise marked “Junghans” with a Kriegsmarine. The face is covered by a period original domed acrylic crystal. The watch case measures 49.42 mm in diameter without the crown, and 62.76 mm with the crown. A non, functional example without major signs of wear, in near mint condition. Virtually unused!

Footnote: The watch is currently nonfunctional, it is not tested for accuracy. In addition, as the service history of this antique timepiece is unknown, it is recommended that the watch is serviced prior to being used.
