9./Sturzkampfgeschwader 2 "Immelmann": Black and white, matte finish, signed in blue ink by Joswig and stamped in blue ink "B 228" on the reverse, 95 mm x 145 mm, near mint. Accompanied by an extensive typed biography. Footnote: Wilhelm Joswig (February 2, 1912 – July 7, 1989) was a highly decorated Oberleutnant in the Luftwaffe during the Second World War, and a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, awarded to recognize extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. During his career, he flew 820 missions, in which he is credited with the destruction of eighty-eight tanks, a submarine, thirteen bridges, two trains and two aerial victories. His awards included: the Pilot Badge, the Front Flying Clasp of the Luftwaffe in Gold with Pennant "800", the Anschluss Medal, the Sudetenland Medal, the Luftwaffe Honour Cup (February 13, 1942), the Iron Cross 2nd Class 1939, the Iron Cross 1st Class 1939, the Wound Badge in Black, the Wound Badge in Silver and the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on February 29, 1944 as Oberleutnant and Pilot in the 9./Sturzkampfgeschwader 2 "Immelmann".
