A third reich period silver grade SA “Sportabzeichen”; in silvered tombac; the obverse with a full oak leaf wreath with a ribbon at the 9 and 3 o’clock positions, with a sword vertically superimposed onto a mobile swastika in the centre; the reverse plain; with a vertical pinback; maker marked “Karl Hensler, Pforzheim” and “Eigentum der SA Sportabzeichen Hauptstelle: (Property of the SA Sports Badge Headquarters” on the reverse; measuring 55.60 mm x 44.02 mm; weighing 20.8 grams; very fine condition.
