A cased third reich period Munich Long and Faithful Service medal; in silver; the obverse with the Munich coat of arms in the centre, circumscribed with “München - Die Hauptstadt der Bewegung” (Munich - the capital of the movement); the reverse inscribed “Für lang und treu geleistete Dienste” (For long and faithful service) above an oak leaf twig; measuring 43.33 mm; weighing 39.6 grams; in its original fitted case of issue; constructed of heavy cardstock; with a lightly textured black faux leather (leatherette) exterior; lined interior lid; recessed medal bed; functional spring catch with stud release; intact interior fabric hinge cover; functional exterior metal hinge; measuring 85 mm x 85 mm; with light darkened fingerprints on the medal; in overall near mint condition.
