A third reich period DRL (National Socialist League of the Reich for Physical Exercise/Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster) bronze grade sports badge; in bronze; the obverse in the form of an oval oak wreath with “DRL” in latin script superimposed onto the badge and a mobile swastika on the bottom of the wreath; vertical pinback with a functional hinge/catch assembly; maker marked “Wernstein, Jena” and marked “DRGM 35269” on the reverse; measuring 47.64 mm x 38.63 mm; weighing 17.4 grams; very fine condition.
