A Wartime Photo of General Karl Böttcher; Bulgarian Order of Military Merit

A picture postcard, measuring 90x140mm, near mint condition. It shows, as it states on the reverse, General Karl Böttcher of the Infantry Regiment 30, which he led from October 1934 to November 1938. He wears a Bulgarian Order of Military Merit with War Decoration. Böttcher (1889–1973) was a recipient of the Knight’s Cross and served in Africa under Generalfeldmarschall Rommel.
