Great Britain, Germany (Hanover).: White porcelain with a full colour applique, illustrating a standing rifleman in a rural scene, holding a rifle by the barrel in his right hand, the butt of the rifle against the ground, within a gold-coloured frame, inscribed in black running script "A Rifleman of the 4th Line Battalion / K's German Legion." below, maker marked in blue on the inside of the bowl, measuring 36.5 mm at its widest point x 120 mm in length, slight flaking on the rifleman art, wear evident on the gold-coloured frame, chipping evident at the end of the stem, near extremely fine.
