What's a max bid?

(Ordre de la Reconnaissance Centrafricaine). Instituted on May 21, 1962. Of French manufacture in bronze, a high scarce five-pointed star in silvered bronze, featuring dedicated bronze-gilt palm leaves in each quadrant, the obverse centre in silver surrounded by gilded border with the inscription UNITE DIGNITE TRAVAIL, plain reverse with central medallion inscribed REPUBLIQUE CENTRAFRICAINE 1962 RECONNAISSANCE, measuring 39.45 mm (w) x 46.19 mm (h- inclusive of integral ball), maker’s mark of Arthus Bertrand & Co. on the ring, minor tarnished metal, suspended on original Knight ribbon, very good condition.

 

Footnote: Instituted on 21 May 1962 with two grades Knight and Officer, the Order of recognition is awarded for distinguished and meritorious acts rendered to the country.
