What's a max bid?

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

(Nishan al-Nil). Instituted in 1915. Wooded-framed on both the lid and base, with a steel blue cloth fabric exterior, the bottom covered in a black paper, the lid bearing the Royal crown and cypher, the inside of the lid lined in white satin and padded, with a foil maker's label inscribed "J. LATTES FOURNISSEUR de S.H le SULTAN CAIRE-GENÈVE", soiled raised platform with recessed and slotted medal beds in white velvet, latch closure, measuring 132 mm (w) x 282 mm (l) x 55 mm (h), wear and light soiling evident on the fabric exterior, wear present on the white satin fabric overlying the hinged area, fine.
