Egypt, Republic. A Medal of Military Duty, II Class
Instituted July 9, 1953. In silver, the obverse features a sword with wings and a wreath behind, with ten small stars around the exterior, the reverse bears an Arabic inscription translating to ‘The Military Medal of Duty’ and the establishment dates, silver hallmark denoting .900 silver fineness, suspended from an ornate helmet like bar, measures 36.9mm (w) x 53.6mm (h), weighs 29.3 grams, worn on correct original ribbon, light wear and knocks to edges, dark patina, remains in extremely fine condition.
