Five-piece construction, of fine quality manufacture, insignia in silver gilt with red, white, green and navy blue enamels, mounted to a ten-pointed silver gilt star base, the star with multiple faceted emanating rays, Bichay of Cairo hallmarked on the reverse, measuring 67 mm (w) x 93.5 mm (h) inclusive of its Eagle of Saladin Egyptian coat-of-arms surmounting five conjoined rings suspension, intact enamels, on its original full-length neck ribbon, extremely fine. Accompanied by its 9.5 mm in diameter rosette, in its hardshelled case of issue, the exterior and interior in maroon felt, Eagle of Saladin Egyptian coat-of-arms affixed to the lid, recessed medal bed for the badge and sunken area for the ribbon, wear spots evident on the lid, case near extremely fine.
