French-made, silver gilt with red and white enamelled insignia, mounted to a five-pointed silver gilt star base, hallmarked with a crab (.800 silver standard, 1838-1962) and maker marked with a lion's head flanked by an "S" at the left and an "A" at the right within a diamond-shaped frame on the pin, measuring 89 mm (w) x 83.5 mm (h), vertical pinback flanked by dual stays, intact enamels, extremely fine.
