A South African Colonial Police Long Service Medal - (8823 AFRICAN SGT. CL.2. TAKAENDISA, B.S.A. POLICE). Naming is officially impressed. Very crisp detail, high relief, edge nicks, near extremely fine. Footnote: Native Constable Takaendisa was cited for "Commendation and award of ten pounds on November 21, 1946 for displaying intelligence and initiative in the apprehension of a travelling criminal responsible for a case of stakebreaking and theft at Gwelo." He was discharged on February 18, 1952, with service amounting to 22 years and 3 months.
