What's a max bid?

A WWI 220th Infantry Battalion "York Rangers" Award Medal - Bronze, obverse illustrating the insignia of the 220th Infantry Battalion, reverse inscribed "AWARDED TO", un-named, 34.2 mm, on its original frayed two-toned ribbon, near mint. In its cardboard box of issue, marked "ELLIS BROS. LIMITED TORONTO" on the lid, cotton batten medal bed, lightly soiled exterior, box very fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Toronto, Ontario with mobilization headquarters at Toronto under the authority of G.O. 69, July 15, 1916. The Battalion sailed April 29, 1917 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel B.H. Brown with a strength of 18 officers and 446 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 3rd Reserve Battalion. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
