THE QUEEN / - GOLDSMITHS & - / CROWN JEWELLERS / GARRARD & Co. Ltd. / 112.REGENT STREET.W1.", base with a raised platform that incorporates a recessed olive green felt medal bed for the badge, case also extremely fine.

1. The Order of the Two Niles is second in precedence after the Sudanese Order of the Republic and takes its name from the Blue Nile and White Nile Rivers which meet at Khartoum. It was instituted on November 16, 1961 and is awarded in five classes to Sudanese and foreigners, military and civilian, for general services to the State.

General Ibrahim Abboud (October 26, 1900 - September 8, 1983) was a Sudanese political figure who served as the head of state of Sudan between 1958 and 1964 and as President of Sudan in 1964; however, he soon resigned, ending Sudan's first period of military rule. A career soldier, Abboud served during the Second World War in Egypt and Iraq. In 1949, Abboud became the deputy Commander in Chief of the Sudanese military. Upon independence, Abboud became the Commander-in-Chief of the Military of Sudan.
