What's a max bid?

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Instituted in 1959. Type II (1963 to present). Badge: in silver with red and green enamels, measuring 61.5 mm (w) x 69 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring suspension, intact enamels, on its original sash incorporating a decorative moiré pattern; and Breast Star: in silver with red and green enamels, maker marked "A.B. & Co" (Arthus Bertrand) on the pin, measuring 81.8 mm (w) x 85.5 mm (h), vertical pinback flanked by dual stays, intact enamels. Extremely fine.

Footnote: The Order of the Republic was instituted on March 16, 1959. It is awarded to Tunisians and foreigners who have contributed to the establishment of the Republic, the development of the regime and the strengthening of its institutions, in five grades: Grand Cordon, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight.
