Independence Medal 1980, II Class Bronze Grade (in bronze, number engraved "30150" on the edge, measuring 38.5 mm in diameter); Medal for Long and Exemplary Service in the Police (in silver, impressed "20480 SO R MUZANENHAMO" on the edge, measuring 32 mm in diameter); and Ten Years' Service Medal (in bronze, impressed "20480 PO R MUZANENHAMO R." on the reverse, measuring 32.5 mm in diameter). Mounted to a suspension with swing bar pinback, as worn by the veteran, very light contact, original ribbons, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The Independence Medal was instituted on April 17, 1980 and awarded to any person or group or category of people nominated by the Prime Minister, in two grades: Silver and Bronze. The Medal for Long and Exemplary Service in the Police was awarded for fifteen 15 years' exemplary service in the police. The Ten Years' Service Medal is awarded to any member or former member of the Armed Forces who completes at least fifteen years' continuous service.
