A “Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 13. März 1938”; circular silvered bronze medal; on loop for suspension; with its period original ribbon featuring a horizontally sewn-on pinback; he obverse with two raised male figures, the one on the right bearing the German flag in his left hand, with his right hand placed around the shoulders of the figure on the left, with broken chains around his right arm, with the German eagle directly below; the reverse with the date “13. März 1938” centrally and circumscribed “Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer” (One People, One Country, One Leader); measuring 32.26 mm in diameter; weighing 17.5 grams. Accompanied by its original case of issue; constructed of heavy pressed paper; with a bright red faux leather (leatherette) exterior; the exterior of the lid embossed with a golden national eagle (denazified); lined interior lid; recessed medal bed; functional spring catch with stud release; mostly severed interior fabric hinge cover; functional exterior metal hinge; measuring 102 mm x 48 mm; the case with light to moderate scuffing on the exterior from storage; overall in better than extremely fine condition.
