An Austrian medal bar mounted German style with six awards, consisting of 1) Iron Cross 1914; Second Class; silver frame with iron core (magnetic); measuring 43 mm x 43 mm. 2) Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 (Das Ehrenkreuz des Weltkriegs 1914/1918), also known as the Hindenburg Cross; in plated bronze; with crossed swords; the obverse depicts a laurel wreath encircling a medallion, with the dates “1914 1918”, with crossed swords between the arms; the reverse blank; loop for suspension; on original ribbon; measuring 38 mm x 38 mm. 3) Police 25-Year Long Service Award; 1st class; in gilded tombac; the obverse depicting a police eagle within an oval wreath; the reverse inscribed in four lines “Für treue Dienste in der Polizei/For loyal service in the police” inside oval medallion; measuring 44 mm x 43 mm. 4) Great War Commemorative Medal (Kriegserinnerungsmedaille) 1914-1918; with swords; in gilt bronze; on the obverse an Austrian eagle, inscribed “Für Österreich” (For Austria); the reverse inscribed “1914 1918”, encircled by a border of oak leaves; measuring 36 mm in diameter. 5) Austrian Pro Deo Et Patria Commemorative Medal (Für Gott und Vaterland) 1914-1918; in silvered bronze; on obverse a Hungarian coat of arms surmounted by a crown, with swords behind the shield, and encircled by a laurel wreath; the reverse depicts an Imperial steel helmet, “1914 1918”, encircled by a half wreath; measuring 37 mm in diameter. 6) First War Commemorative Medal 1915-1918; in bronze gilt; measuring 32 mm in diameter. Miniature medal bar with ribbons; notably the Hindenburg Cross and Great War Commemorative Medal with swords, and the Police Long Service Award with a gilt miniature of the police eagle; miniature mounted on pinback; medal bar mounted on pinback with green backer; measuring 17 cm x 6.6 cm; patina, extremely fine condition.
