An Extremely Rare Sport’s Badge of the Croatian-German Volksgruppe 1941

Badge is constructed in bronze, 39.3mm x 48.15mm, weighs 13.7 grams; similar in appearance to German “DRL” badge, except letters are “VDS” (Deutsche Volksgruppe Sportabzeichen), and instead of swastika at the bottom is Odal rune; unmarked badge, but probably made by Knaus, Zagreb, in extremely fine condition. Badge comes with owner’s photo Ausweis (ID-pass), issued by the “DEUTSCHE VOLKSGRUPPE IN KROATIEN”, Ortsgruppe Agram (Zagreb); document is in well used/fair condition. Badge and the document were found in Zagreb, in early 1980’s. Extremely rare badge, the only one I have ever seen in 30+ years.
