An First War Prussian & Hessen Medal and Ribbon Bar
Prussia: Iron Cross 2nd Class 1914 (silver frame, with iron core, magnetic, maker marked "K.M." (Königliche Muenzamt, Stuttgart) on the ring, 43.5 mm); Hesse: General Honour Decoration, Type III (1894-1918) (silver, 33.3 mm); and Imperial: Hindenburg Cross for Combatants (iron with a bronze-coloured gilt, magnetic, maker marked "G7" (unknown) on the reverse, 37.7 mm). Original ribbons, mounted to a trapezoid-shaped suspension, bubbling on the arms of the IC, scattered surface rust evident on the HC, near extremely fine. Accompanied by their Ribbon Bar (original ribbons, crossed bronze swords on the HC ribbon, 12 mm x 45.5 mm, pinback). (C:102)
