An Italian 60th "Sabratha" Infantry Division Service Medal - Bronze, obverse illustrating an infantryman pushing at a column, inscribed with the Fascist motto "S.P.Q.R." (Senatus Populusque Romanus = The Senate and People of Rome) on the base of the column, palm trees to the left, the intense Italian eagle to the right and inscribed "NEL NOME E NELL'AZIONE ROMANA" above, reverse inscribed "REGGIMENTI FANTERIA 85 86 ARTIGLIERIA 42 / BATTAGLIONI MTR. LX-GENIO LX CARRI L COMPL. LX / COMP. MOTOCICLISTI COMP. CANNONI 47 SEZ.CC. RR. 704 / SERVIZI" inside a full wreath and inscribed "DIVISIONE DI FANTERIA "SABRATHA" (60)" around the wreath, 35 mm x 38.5 mm inclusive of its integral suspension, oxidation spots on the obverse, better than very fine.   Footnote: The 60th "Sabratha" Infantry Division was mobilized in October 1939 for service in Libya. On September 13, 1940, the Division took part in the invasion of Egypt. It was composed of the 85th Infantry Division, the 86th Infantry Division and the 42nd Artillery Regiment (later the 3rd Articelere Artillery Regiment).
