An SS Police Officer's Brocade Dress Belt with Buckle in Original Box of Issue
A Prime Example of an SS officer's belt from a premier American collection; SS/ Polizei buckle in silvered die-stamped aluminum on the right end, unmarked; measuring 49 mm in diameter; belt is fabricated with a fine aluminum brocade wire; the outer edges trimmed in two rows of black threading on the upper and lower sides, the belt incorporating a repeating pattern with the SS Runes and oak leaves; the sides and reverse in bluish-green corduroy (grünmeliert), with two sliders that have matching uppers and reverses to that of the belt but without the Runes and oak leaves; brown leather tab stitched in place on the underside at the right end with ten rows of two vertically oriented holes for length adjustment; the left end of the belt folded over and stitched in place and housing a matching silvered receiving clip; paper RZM stick placed on the backer of the right end of the belt with “RZM A4/158” and numbered “No. 007207”; measuring 43 mm x 1,440 mm; near mint; in burgundy carton box with burgundy liner on top and bottom; box has wear marks for storage and age and is starting to come apart at the seams; better than fine condition.
